Still into you lyrics year made2/7/2024 In exit interviews, the Farros accused Williams and her handlers of dominating the group, which is an old showbiz story, and implied that the camaraderie that the group exhibited onstage and in its videos was nothing but a corporate rock sham. There are old fans who blame Williams for the departure of Josh and Zac Farro, founding members of the band who left in a snit in 2010. There are 101 reasons why people resist Paramore. If a richer, more varied and more rewarding pop-rock album than "Paramore," the band's fourth, has been released in 2013, I'd sure like to hear it. But most of all, I love the part of the song that sounds like Paramore, a group that is about as underappreciated as it is possible to be while recording for a major label. I love the part of the song that sounds like the Cars, and I love the part of the song that sounds like No Doubt. No matter what the charts say or the radio or MTV wants to push, I'm going to remember summer 2013 for "Still Into You." I love everything about this record - the sneaky, skittery little riff that decorates the verse, the burbling synthesizer arpeggio that creeps into the song around the minute mark, the high chimes and the odd, warbling theremin effect, the great big splash that the rhythm guitar makes when it barges into the chorus, and Williams' discovery that monogamy can be even more exciting than a torrid affair. In some years, your song will be delightful. But really, there are as many summer songs as there are individual experiences of summer. Pop observers like to talk about the Song of the Summer as if it applies to everybody, and we're all one nation under a Daft Punk groove. "Still Into You" is the summer song that wasn't. The firecracker record that should have established the retooled Paramore as pop-rock superstars looks to have fizzled out.
